Adult Education Festival “Catch the Light”, events’ calendar (2005)

Fest CG 2005The Calendar of events published within Adult Education festival in Mongenegro 2005. During the five festivals days citizens got opportunity to become familiar with 50 organizations and their activities in more than 7 cities: Cetinje, Nikšić, Bjelo Polje, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Ulcinj and Podgorica. In Serbia the festival was organized independently in 10 cities: Belgrade, Bor, Kragujevac, Svrljig, Novi Sad, Prijepolje, Smederevo, Užiće and Vršac. The organizers designed the local calendar of events, because of that there aren’t the common one. In total was organized tenth of the activities. Editor: Ljiljana Garic, Podgorica 2005.

Education and Quality of Life (2005)

University of the Third Age (2004)

Document1This publication is dedicated to the 15th anniversary of founding the first Third Age University in Serbia 1989. The three important institutions has been established and contributed to the U3D. Institute for Pedagogy and Andragogy at Faculty of Philosophy Belgrade designed theoretical framework and program, The TV Belgrade editorial board of educational program promoted the idea, The Peoples’ University “Braca Stamenkovic” has provided the technical and professional conditions for opening. The publication has been presenting and promoting The Network of Third Age University. The Network established 2002 and has been supported in period of five years by Adult Education Society. Editor: Svetlana Zivanic, coordinator of The U3D Network. Publication is available in English (from 2004) and in Serbian (from 2005).

Learning and Ageing (2004)

ustarenjeThis study considers the relation between learning and agening. This is an area that has attracted considerable scientific interest in the past several decades. The problem is approached in an interdisciplinary manner and within the framework of the philosophy of lifelong learning. Besides an introduction, the book includes ten parts. Part one is devoted to old age as a civilizational problem, part two considers the social and scientific foundations of agening, part three refers to demographic changes and aging, part four considers comparative perspectives of education for the elderly, part five discusses directions of development and learning by the elderly, part six refers to the elderly person as a student, part seven is devoted to the educational needs and interests of the elderly, part eight discusses the choice of content and organization of learning by the elderly, part nine is devoted to trends in the establishment of an discipline/subdiscipline of learning by the elderly and part ten contains concluding considerations. Education and Peace – International Experiences and Approaches (2004)

Adult Education Festival “Catch the Light”, events’ calendar (2004)

katalog_2004After two successful festivals in the country and participation in the Regional Adult Education Festival organized in Skopje 2003 Adult Education Society presented the new concept of organization to the partners’ network. The coordination of the festivals’ activities in Serbia delegated to National business association of workers’, peoples’ and open universities, educational and cultural centers of Serbia and Center for Vocational Education in Montenegro. Adult Education Society gave the organizational, professional and financial support to those organizations. The festival was successfully organized in 12 regions in Serbia and 19 cities in Montenegro. The 400 activities was organized in more than 65 cities around Serbia and Montenegro. Particularly successful was the festival in Montenegro where recorded the increase of activity. Based on “Adult Education Fairs 2002” organized in Berane, Bijelo Polje, Herceg Novi and Pljevlja educational fairs have been organizing. In Serbia the Bor, Smederevo, Vrsac, Kragujevac and Uzice region were stand out.  In Belgrade the central activity gather more than 30 organizations and attracted significant attention. interaktivnanThe Manual “Interactive Teaching” deals with issues like dynamics and efficient learning and teaching. The book also describe biological basis and social concepts which determinate learning of individuals. Each of subject has aim to describe teaching as process which is focused to learner. This publication is divided to four chapters: the first describe theories of the teaching process connected with development of the learners, the second one explain functions of school and teachers, the next one give overview of teaching and methodological concepts. Adult Education Festival “Catch the Light”, events’ calendar (2002)

kalendar2002Adult Education Society organized The Second Adult Education Festival, after the great success of the first one 2001. This year the festival involved organizations from Montenegro and has become the major activity in adult education in Serbia and Montenegro ever. The Catalogue of events provide information about five festivals’ days in 98 cities around Serbia and Montenegro in more than 450 organizations, which organized around 800 activities. The festival was organized through the network of 27 regional coordinators. In addition to the activities of individual organizations festivals included the 19 regional central events, which especially attracted the attention of citizens and media. The biggest one, the “Adult Education Fair” was organized in Belgrade where 50 organizations presented to thousands of citizens in five hours. Editor: Katarina Popovic, Belgrade 2002.

Adult Education Festival “Catch the Light”, events’ calendar (2001)

uhvati svetlost-1Adult Education Society in the first year after its founding organized The First Adult Education Festival in cooperation with Institute for Pedagogy and Andragogy at Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. This event is the main means of promoting the importance of adult learning and education around the globe. The success of the festival surpassed all expectations. During the three days 150 organizations from 35 cities around the Serbia took part in the activities. The Calendar of activities described 250 activities including four thematic events about the legal framework in adult education, corporate education, CSO in adult education, education for the third aged generation. Within the festival for the first time was organized the “Adult Education Fair”, which become the central activity in the upcoming festivals and the organizational model for employment and education fairs.
