Belgrade, November 2011. The fourth Day of andragogists of Serbia (AD IV) was held from November 4th to 5th 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia. First time this year, the main organizer was the Serbian Association of Andragogists (DAS), in cooperation with the Adult Education Society, Institute for Pedagogy and Andragogy, the Department for Andragogy of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade and Andragogy Students’ Club. There were 102 participants in AD IV, including DAS members, other andragogists, members of Advisory board and organization team, as well as guests (partners and associates). Participants are from different working fields and sectors: labor market, social work, adult education institutions, People universities, business, faculty and nongovernmental sector. There were also representatives of two European funded projects (“Second chance” – Functional adult literacy and IPA 07 Project on modernization of VET system in Serbia ). This year the AD was organized in two parts: first, held on November 4th in the Palace hotel, Belgrade, was designed as a “Market of ideas and initiatives for the project in Adult Education”, aimed at introducing of participants in current projects being applied in the field of adult education, activities of business sector representatives in human resources development, publishing projects and products in the field, as well as in opportunities of organizations to provide volunteering options for young andragogists. The Day Two started with the introduction into the working activities. Two plenary sessions were realized in the first part of the Day: DAS Assembly and plenary presentations “Trends in adult education policy and practice – from Worldwide to Serbian perspective”. The rest of the day was organized in small groups, where participants were able to select two out of four topics, within the 1,5 hour sessions organized in two rounds. The fourth Day of andragogists of Serbia was evaluated as very successful event. Andrgogysts had opportunity to discuss on current issues and to work on further development of DAS.
