EMAE Camp 2013

workshopCzech Republic  Brno, August – September 2013. The second EMAE Camp (European Master in Adult Education) was held in Brno, Chez Republic from 29th August to 3rd September. The Camp was organized for students of Adult Education who are coming from several European countries. This year, the group of seven Serbian students representing Faculty of Philosophy took part in the Camp. Participation of Serbian students was supported by Adult Education Society, Department of Andragogy at Faculty of Philosophy Belgrade and DVV International. The Camp aimed to connect MA students of adult education from different countries and to foster cooperation between them. Program of EMAE Camp was organized around tree section: transnational projects, lectures and final conference. The transnational project is one of the assignments in which participate team of students with different national backgrounds and who share the same interests on particular topic in adult education. Students have been developing their project for one semester with mentor’s supervision. The second part of the programme included lectures delivered by outstanding guest professors. In addition to those who are coming from University of Florence, Duisburg-Essen, Pecs, Brno etc., the guest lecturer from Serbia was teaching assistant at Department of Andragogy – Ph.D. Aleksandra Pejatović. Students had an opportunity to actively participate in lectures and to debate with professors on various topics. These topics had an impact on drafting the transnational topics. Moreover, lectures have provided an insight and guidance for further work. Also, it’s aimed to educate students to understand importance of knowledge which is produced through transnational cooperation at the global level. The last part of the programme was devoted to final conference which was opened to wider expert public. Attendees and students had an opportunity to be informed about trends and issues in adult education at the international level. In brief, students saw the participation on the Camp as the best opportunity to meet professionals and colleagues from different countries and to build professional bridges through international cooperation in the field of adult education.
