Belgrade – Bergisch Gladbach, July-August 2009. EMAE is a masters program, which is offered by a number of the most renowned universities in Europe (Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Romania and Spain) for some years. The main provider of this masters program is the German Institute for Adult Education (DIE). In July this year DIE has organized, a conference in Bergisch Gladbach (Nordrhein-Westfalen) under the name “Teachers and Trainers in Life Long Learning – Professional Development in Asia and Europe”. The focus of this conference was the staff in the field of adult education (adult educators and trainers) as well as their training. With the support of the Adult Education Society Tamara Nikolic Maksic, Assistant to the Department of Andragogy and Pedagogy Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, has participated in this event and presented the study program of the Department. Ms. Nikolic Maksic therewith continued the preparations for the membership of the department in the network “European Master in Adult Education”. The entry is planned for autumn this year and the “European Master in Adult Education” will be on offer at the Belgrade University by next year.
