The fourteenth International Conference organized by the Balkan Society for Pedagogy and Education (BASOPED) in cooperation with the Institute of Pedagogy and Andragogy, Department of Pedagogy and Andragogy, Adult Education Society and Andragogy Society of Serbia, was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Topic of the conference was “Evaluation in Education in the Balkan Countries“. For the last few years, quality in education has become a “hot” issue and a priority in the field of research and in creating national policies. Evaluation is the basis of these processes. About 200 researchers, university professors, policy makers and practitioners in this field presented their papers and discussed various aspects of evaluation. The participants came from Greece, Turkey, Bulgary, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia so they had opportunity to share their experience and ideas and find some common priorities in the Balkan region.
